MY NAME IS LEAH
I am an Irish artist currently living and working in Dublin. Self-taught, I create colourful abstract art that uses mainly acrylic paint on canvas. My process relies on intuition and involves experimentation using unusual objects and tools from other crafts.
I have always loved art, but it was only during the COVID-19 lockdowns that I really began to paint as an emotional and creative outlet. Painting allows me to explore and express my inner world in a safe space, and I find it incredibly rewarding when my work becomes a part of other people's lives and homes.
I have an MSc in Art Psychotherapy and retain a strong interest in the healing nature of creativity. I find numerous parallels between the art that I create and the work I do with my clients as a counsellor, and my approach values the process just as much as the finished piece.
